Spokane getaway

Darin decided it would be fun to just get out of town (even if it was just to Spokane).  We headed over shopped around, ate and relaxed.

Walking through Riverpark Square, I asked Sawyer if he wanted to go say "HI" to Santa.  Without hesitation he said "Yes!".  I really didn't know how he would react but it was just precious.  He was a little reserved (I think because he was a stranger) but did so good.  The candy cane didn't hurt either.

Time for snow

The newest thing...snow yoga!

Halloween

The monkey costume didn't last, decided to just stay home and hand out candy instead of venture down to the shops for the big trick or treat event.

Little story (started this post in the fall)

Tonight I told Sawyer to go pick out his book for bedtime.  After a few minutes he came out and said "read Jesus book mama".  We havnt read that book (a book called `Our Father`) in a quite a while and I was overjoyed. I was taking a class in my moms group that fosuses on prayer, specifically with our children and this spoke so loudly to me. I pray Sawyer knows the Lord at an early age.

You can take the boy outta Cali

...but you can't get the sand out of his pants!!!

WE LOVE YOU PAPA AND ALL OUR CALI FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND FUN TIMES!!!

The reason we went

It's party time!  The stories we had to tell to trick my Dad, it was so fun but such a relief once the surprise was out.  Karen put on a fabulous party and we got to meet so many of my Dad's friends that knew so much about us.  I told my Dad..."now I know why you are working all the time, because you spend half of it talking about us."  Anyway, part of why I really felt like we should go is because my Dad always did really special stuff with me and my sister for my Grandparents and I knew this would be very special to him (and to us to share this special time with him).

Also, a wonderful day out in Murrieta with my Mom's side of the family.  Sunny, Carlo, Uncle Terry and Garrett had us out for a wonderful and relaxing time in the backyard by the pool.  Couldn't get these boys out of the water.  So wish we lived just down the street again.  A wonderful childhood growing up with these guys.

Cutie pie, Miss Georgia with her chickens.

So good to see Gigi, I think just watching all the kids exhausted her :)
