Easter Festivities

We had a REALLY good Easter weekend full of celebration, egg hunts and lots of eating.  I practiced egg hunting with Sawyer the few days before (filled eggs with little toys, goldfish crackers, jelly beans and paci) and when it came time for the real egg hunt he was excited and knew exactly what to do.  Well, beside the fact that once he filled up his basket he dumped it all out and he really likes to open the eggs right away (to eat the candy) rather than just putting them in the basket and collecting more...anyway...I don't know if it is just Sawyers age and having a different perspective on the holiday but this was the best Easter I can remember.  I know its about something WAY bigger than just all of this but we had a great time with all this stuff too.
Big egg hunt through our church...The 2 and under age group could probably still be there collecting eggs.

Canyon rocked the egg collecting too!

Went to church Saturday afternoon and then to Darin's parents for a lovely dinner.

Love doing baskets with little treats for all the kids...Just like my mom, will continue to do that for who knows how long.

Looking at the fishies after brunch.  Brunch was amazing and just a fun day for brunch with everyone in their springy Easter clothes.

Another hunt at Grandma & Papa's...FUN!!!  And more delicious food, of course.

Pretty good picture considering all three of them are bonkers!!!

LOVE our family

The time of year that you REALLY start looking forward to spring...

We are trying to make the best of it but we are really ready for the sunshine and warmth of spring and summer.  We love to be outside but we get so cold.  Been sick alot, lots of germs hard to avoid when we go places, YUCK!  Kind-of a revolving circle...staying in and doing nothing when we are sick, then we go out and do activities and end up picking something up which puts us back home again.  Just hoping for an early spring!  Thankful for lots of time to sit around and think about all that we are thankful for :)
Hiking out at Hayden Lake

Aspens 17th birthday - So amazing that she is truly a young adult.  Went to Syringa for yummy dinner and had favorite cake batter cake :)

Slurpin' some noodles

Darin says "start him young"...he is a wild one.

So much fun pulling Sawyer with the dog around downtown in the sled.  We had a couple great adventures!  Not too many really snowy days for sledding (which is okay with us).

The turkeys strike again...ON THE ROOF of the garage.  CRAZY!!!

Got to go watch Aspen's drumming performance on MLK Jr. day downtown Spokane,  it was really cool.  She is so talented, the whole group put on a meaningful show.

Finally got to go snowboarding!  Realized by looking at the last lift ticket on my jacket it had been almost exactly 3 years.  WOW!  We had fun and I wasn't too rusty.  Just like riding a bike :)

Found out Las Palmitas closed.  That is where Darin and I met on Cinco de Mayo in 2004.  It really is such a great memory and one I will always cherish.  We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding there for, of course, the sentimental reasons and went there occasionally and reminisced.  They had great food, not always the best service but as long as we had a margarita...not biggie.  Sad it is being quickly transformed into another business.

Little buddy fell head first in a mud puddle.

Cute pic of Canyon and Caelan at Mt.

Superbowl Sunday...SOOOO excited football season is over!  Good reason to make some yummy food and have friends over :)
